family photography session: the p family | rockville newborn, baby, family photographer

EEEK!  I haven’t blogged in so long, my poor little blog has dust on it! Now that the fall and holidays are over I can catch up on this neglected little spot of the internet.  This was one of my favorite sessions of the year, this family was so much fun to work with!  Those little giggly little girlies…I could have photographed them all day.  Enjoy my faves from the session and get ready for a lot more blogging 🙂  Happy New Year!

The fall photography season is off!  This is my busiest time of year and the time when I get to catch up with all of my repeat clients!  I’m so lucky to get to work with the same families year after year and to watch their families grow.  Last time I saw these guys they were a family of 3.  I was so excited to meet their new little guy 🙂  My season is almost fully booked…make sure to contact me to schedule your session!

Newborn Photography Session: the L Family | Rockville md newborn, baby, family photographer

I recently met little baby E and his beautiful family for his newborn session.  He decided he wanted to stay awake for some photos and I’m so glad he did because he has the CUTEST face!  But with Mommy’s help we got full and sleepy enough to do some adorable sleepy poses as well.  I think most adorable big sister award goes to little miss L, she was such a good girl and looked so proud holding her little brother!

child photography session: little miss T | rockville newborn, baby, family photographer

In the 6 years that I have been photographing kids and families I have learned a thing or two about photographing toddlers.  One of the most important things I have learned is that going with the flow is key to a successful session.  Toddlers don’t want to sit still and smile pretty so I find that playing games with them the best way to get real smiles and avoid them being frustrated and parents feeling stressed out.  I had a session recently with one of my favorite little clients, we had a great time!  Playing peekaboo is one of my favorite things to do with them, also counting flower petals, hide and seek, and singing lots of silly songs are my go to tricks for my little friends.  I want my sessions to feel relaxed and for the kids to have fun! The results are much better than forced smiles and tantrums 🙂
