Family Portrait Session: The A Family

I just love a giggly 2 year old!  This session was right up my alley.  I have photographed this family twice before and this little girl never fails to bring the cuteness!   I was so excited to see that she will soon be a big sister, can’t wait to meet their little bundle at our next session!

Have I told you how much I love this location?  Well I just love it, Pennyfield Lock is my fave so far this summer 🙂

Family Portrait Session: the g family

This session might go down in history as the most unique and one of the most fun I have ever had!  Last time I photographed this family we did a session at a local playground.  I really enjoyed the session and I loved capturing the family together and the joy on the kids faces at the park.  This time I went to their new home for the session.  When I drove up I was amazed by the beauty of their land, flowing fields of grass and beautiful trees and perfect lighting.  A photographer’s dream!  Mom had lots of great ideas, including the creek for which I was lucky enough to borrow a pair of her boots to go into.  My first session in water 🙂  I spent about 2 hours just hanging out with them and photographing their interactions, I think this session could be called an outdoor lifestyle session!  I couldn’t resist taking the last few shots in front of the clothes on the line and it is my favorite of them all I think 🙂  Enjoy!

Happy Father’s Day!

Nothing like the bond between Dads and their littles.  I love to watch my own with my husband, so precious.  Happy Father’s Day to all of you!

Newborn Lifestyle Portrait Session: Baby Alex

I traveled to Georgetown for this session to meet Alex and his family in their lovely home.  I was so pleased when they decided to do a lifestyle session, I really love lifestyle photography, photographing people in their home makes them more relaxed in front of the camera I think.  Since Alex was almost a month old so a lifestyle session was the perfect solution since he is out of that sleepy newborn phase, he gave me such great eye contact for the awake shots! It was a real family affair too since Grandma was visiting, so great to get her some of the images as well.    Such a fun morning 🙂

Child Portrait Session: Adorable little miss R :)

I am feeling so grateful lately to have so many repeat clients!  This is my 4th session with this little girl 🙂  We celebrated her upcoming 4th birthday with a fun session and a cupcake at the end to top it off!  This light is the reason I prefer to do sessions in the evening during the summer and fall, so beautiful!  I had so much fun with her talking about butterflies, princesses, and her birthday party.  Can’t wait till our next session 🙂
