I was so excited when David’s mom contacted me about his cake smash. I photographed him as a newborn last year, he was one of the sleepiest babies I have ever had (never saw his eyes once!). We had the session at my home studio in Rockville and I made a little cake for him to smash. Oh my he is such a cutie! Not a huge fan of the cake but that is ok 🙂 Happy Birthday David!
I can’t say enough how much I enjoy watching my client’s families grow. This family I met 3 years ago when they were a family of 2 (plus one fur baby) and one baby girl on the way. Now, 5 sessions later, here we are…baby girl is almost 3 and there will be another little bundle of joy added to the mix 🙂 For this session we went to a place that I just found recently Pennyfield Lock. Wow it is so beautiful there! This Mama always knows how to dress her family for sessions, I wish she would style my family when it comes to our photos haha! We had a fun time, singing “Let it Go” and having her help me get Mom and Dad to smile. I can’t wait to meet their little one at the newborn session!
I don’t know about you but I am super duper excited that it is FINALLY spring (even thought the last couple of days have felt like summer). It is so nice to be able to play outside again! We cleaned out the sandbox, got some new sand, new water table and we are all set! Noah is really excited about playing in the sand, he is always asking to make a sand castle now. I decided to get my camera out one morning when he dragged me out there at oh…about 9 am. He insists on not wearing a shirt when we are outside, so manly! lol. We also celebrated Mother’s Day with my parents and in laws and I finally got out camera (I’m so bad at capturing my own family!) and let my husband play photographer. It is nice to be in some photos for a change 🙂
This is the third time I have photographed this adorable family. The last time we had a session my daughter came up to the studio to coax some smiles out little Miss Eva and it worked like a charm. So much so in fact they requested I bring her this time around and paid her in cup cakes 🙂 I can’t begin to tell you how happy that made her! We decided to have a lifestyle session at their home and read books, play outside with bubbles, and with toys in the living room. It was so fun and relaxing and so much easier to get smiles and giggles this time around, can’t wait till next time!
